Paddy Winter involved in accident

Unfortunately Paddy, our oldest member, was involved in an accident with a car on one of Sunday’s rides. He sustained serious injuries and required the attention of an ambulance and para medics who after stabilising him, were able to transport him to hospital for further treatment.  Sadly his injuries were such that he had to undergo surgery to amputate his foot and repair various broken bones, but his condition is said to be stable and he is lucid, but complaining it hurts all over. At the moment he is in the Hull Royal Infirmary – Ward 40. I know we all send him our very best wishes and hope he makes the best recovery possible, but it is going to take some time.
